Squash

AKA – summer squash.  We steam them, fry them (coated in cornflake crumbs), make pies with them, soup, wraps, put them in salads, and eat them raw.

Crookneck squash is a type of cultivar of Cucurbita pepo, the species that also includes some pumpkins and most other summer squashes. The plants are bushy and do not spread like the plants of winter squash and pumpkin.
